P.S.J.A. READS Together
The 3rd book for the P.S.J.A. Reads Together is "They Never Came Back" by Caroline B. Cooney.

Murielle Lyman was 10 yrs. old when her parents fled the country because they ripped off people with millions of dollars leaving Murielle with foster care.  Now she is 15 yrs. old  and going by the name of Cathy Ferris.  One day in summer school class, her cousin recognizes her and the FBI eventually gets involved and wants to use Cathy as bait in order to try to get her parents back to the United States, so they can be prosecuted.  With chapters alternating between Murielle's past and Cathy's present, this character is faced with the moral issue of whether a girl of 15 yrs. old has an obligation to society and the justice system or her own family.

P.S.J.A. READS Together
The 2nd Book for the P.S.J.A. Reads Together  is " Out Of My Mindby Sharon M. Draper.

Eleven -year old Melody has a photgraphic memory. Her head is like a video camera that is always recording.  She is the smartest kid in the whole school- gut NO ONE know it.  Most people -her teachers and doctors included- don't think she's capable of learning, and up until recently her school days consisted of listening to the same preschool -level alphabet lessons again and again and again.  If only she could speak up, if only she could tell people what she thinks and knows.  But she can't. She can' talk. She can't walk. She can't write.
